Hi there! 👋

My name is Yicheng (Charlie) Gao, I’m currently a research assistant at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine under the supervision of Prof. Bo Zhou. Previously, I received my M.S. in Computer Science from Yale University, where I worked with Prof. Arman Cohan.

My research focus on fair and trustworthy AI. I’m particularly interested in understanding the biases in modern deep learning models, and developing methods to mitigate them without sacrificing the model’s performance. I’m also interested in enhancing trustworthiness in real-world AI applications such as healthcare.
